A number of blank races have been left in the programme, which will be updated nearer to the race date. These have been introduced for 2024 in order to provide flexibility within the programme for races which may be required to meet any short-term demand.
Such races will appear as “Interactive Race” in the calendar and on Racing Admin, with race details confirmed approximately two weeks ahead of the fixture.
Following consultation with the National Trainers’ Federation, changes to race conditions and prize money have been agreed at the Floodlit AWT fixture at Wolverhampton on Sunday, 7 January, 2024. These changes supersede the race conditions published in Racing Calendar 25 (normal closing races run 01/01/24 to 14/01/24). Full amended race conditions can be found on the BHA’s Racing Admin website (www2.racingadmin.co.uk) under Fixtures and Races.
Total Prize Funds have been decreased as well as increased. In addition, race number 60101, which was originally published as a Class 3 handicap for four-year-olds and upwards, rated 67-86, will now be run as a Class 4 handicap for horses rated 66-85.
