payable to the Racecourse by the Owner of the horse at the time of sale.
The claiming price of each horse will be subject to an additional
10% Premium (plus V.A.T.) payable to the Racecourse, split
equally between the Buyer and the Owner, and both the selling
price and the advertised claiming price will be subject to
V.A.T., where applicable.
The post-race auction of the winner will be conducted in POUNDS

NOVICE FLAT RACES

Winning Horses which have run three or more times will still be excluded from 3yo+ Novice Flat Races

However, wording will no longer appear in race conditions

Owners and trainers should note that, from October 1st, 2018, Novice Flat race
conditions will no longer contain any qualification details, which were previously
included to assist with the recent changes to the Novice Flat Race definition. So,
while winning horses which have run three or more times will still be excluded
from Novice Flat races for three yrs old and upwards, this condition will not be
included in the race conditions.

For clarification, the Novice Flat Race Definition which came into force on July 9th
is still in force and is set out in Rule (F)4.7

previously won a race or is a two-year-old, and
4.7.2.4 have been sold or bought in by public auction under the hammer at
               specified sales,
and for these purposes, any horse which is unsold having failed to reach
               its reserve does not qualify nor do private sales;

4.7.3.1 have not won more than two flat races,

previously won a race or is a two-year-old,
4.7.3.4 are the progeny of stallions which established a median price for the sale
of yearlings contemporary with the entrants in the race based on the sale
or bought in price of one or more animals at specified sales, and
4.7.3.5 have not been sold or bought in at public auction under the
hammer at specified sales at a price more than £20,000 above the
